What products do you use?
I use MAC and SMASBOX makeup products, Dermilogica skincare, Sebastian and Kevin Murphy styling products.
Do we come to you for our makeup and hair? Where are you based?
I am a completly mobile makeup and hairsylist so I can travel to you anywhere within Auckland, small travel fees may apply.(see below) I live in a small country town north of Auckland so I do travel Auckland wide.
Do I need to wash my Hair prior to getting my Hair styled?
Yes wash your hair the night before I arrive, making sure all shampoo and conditioner has been rinsed well. Please ensure your hair is dry and has no product in it. Apply Moisturizer but no other products to your face.
Do I need my own lipstick and powder etc?
Weddings it is up to you if you would like to purchase your own lipstick that you can apply on the day - we will discuss this on your trial date and I will suggest what will be best for you, other wise I supply you with a complimentary test post of the lipstick/gloss that I used.
Do you work with assistants for larger events/weddings?
Yes if your event requires an extra hand I will bring along an assistant who is fully qualified and I can trust. I only work with a selected few which have my hair and makeup quality standards. This is at no extra charge to you unless traveling to Waiheke Island.
Do I need to have a trial?
For weddings absolutely need to have a trial. It is the perfect time to experiment with looks you have in mind opposed to being rushed on the day. I recommend that the trial is done one month or more prior to the wedding and is a great Idea to plan the trial with your hens night or dress fitting so you make the most of being fabulous. A wedding trial will take upto 2 hours and includes one hair style and makeup look, if unsure about what style to go for, we can try additional styles at a discounted fee. For other special occasions trials are not required but I am happy to do one if needed.
Do you recommend getting eyelash extensions before my wedding day?
Getting eyelash extensions are a fantastic Idea, I do include Individual false lashes for my wedding Makeups but they do only last up until you wash your face that night. The individual lashes give the exact same look as the extensions. I am happy to point you in the right direction to lash salons I love!
How far do you travel? and is Waiheke Island included?
I travel anywhere around Auckland. Travel fees always vary and may apply for your event. Please ask for a quote.
I travel to Waiheke Island often in the summer periods. For larger weddings I may need to take an assistant depending on the time frame so there travel will also be included. We also travel nation wide and often to the coromandel, although travel fees still apply.
Do I need to pay a Booking deposit fee? and when is the balance due by?
For all bookings I require a small deposit fee this is required once you have filled out my wedding booking form and we have discussed your services for your big day. A deposit is the only way to secure a date with myself or team. The balance is due a week before the wedding date via Bank deposit or in cash on the day of your event.
How far in advance should I make a booking for my event?
It really depends on the time of year but is best to be safe. For balls and special occasions several months or more in advance, For weddings can be anything upto a year - best to get in and secure your date as soon as possible! I cannot 'hold' a date although I can let you know if I have someone else interested.
Do you offer other beauty services including manicures and pedicures?
No I do not personally. We are solely makeup application and hair styling and do not yet offer additional services such as, tinitng, manis, pedis, waxing, tanning etc. I am happy to point you in the right direction though or check out my 'we love' tab.

By completing an online booking form it is not a confirmed booking, please await confirmation via email. Your booking will NOT be secure until a deposit has been made. I will do my best to get back to you as soon as possible. By completing any booking form you agree to all terms and conditions outlined below.
Additional small travel costs apply for areas within Auckland, I am located north of Auckland so please understand this when booking for an event beyond the areas listed below.
Travel is free for areas located on the North Shore, Kumeu, Hibiscus Coast, Orewa and Auckland CBD. Please let me know your location so I can quote correctly.
Wedding Bookings:
Waiheke incurs a small travel fee per artist. This includes the return ticket, parking and travel time on the ferry for 1 and a half hours. Transport once over there will need to be arranged too & from the ferry terminal. If not, the taxi fee from and too the ferry will be reimbursed after the wedding via invoice. (See above for Travel information throughout Auckland)
For larger parties an assistant may be required. My assistants are all fully qualified and all have a ver similar style to myself.
All on location parking fees must be covered which will be quoted upon booking or arranged a few days prior with the hotel/venue.
Deposit: Once confirmation has been received, A small booking fee is required for weddings and the balance is then due a week before via direct deposit or cash on day. Once a deposit has been recieved your booking is then secure.
Satisfaction guarantee: If you are not satisfied with your wedding trial (not including if you just didn’t like the style you picked, want to try another look) I will offer another trial free of charge with myself or your artist. If you are still unhappy or would not like to go ahead with another trial I will refund 50% of your booking deposit as stated below under cancellations. This applies to trials only. The trial payment is non refundable.
Trial: Over my peak season trials must be organised during the week days between 9am and 5pm as my weekends are most often packed with weddings. Please understand if I do not have your preferred date free. Trial travel fees will apply for cities listed above.
Cancellations:
Cancellations made before your wedding will be refunded 50% of your deposit paid. Any cancellations made 8 weeks or less before the wedding day will not be refunded their deposit - sorry no exceptions.
Kaitlin will have turned away other work and unfortunately this loss of income will have to be covered. This applies to all bookings.
To make a cancellation:
If the cancellation notification is 71 hours or less, the only acceptable method of cancellation is via a telephone call/text to 021 817 200. For 72 hours or more, an email is acceptable
Any changes to a wedding booking upto two weeks prior to booking may or may not be possible. (e.g adding another member) as I may have more than one booking per day, However I will do everything I can to accomadate you.

Payments:
confirmed bookings require full payment ahead in advance, full payment in cash on the day or invoiced, which is due withen 7 days. This will be decided on a project by project basis.
Cancellations:
All cancellations or re scheduling requires at least 5 working days of notice.
Parking and Travelling fee's:
Parking fees are an added cost payable by the booker. If your booking is within a hotel, the lady/ladies attending will charge the parking to the room unless other arrangements are made. Travelling is free for the first 20minutes to the preparation address from my address. Travel costs will be quoted individually for each booking.
Rights Reserved:
Kaitlin reserves the right to cancel any booking and provide email notification of doing so, if a booking is in breach of these terms. No booking is confirmed unless Kaitlin specifies so in her emails. nb Kaitlin also has an amazing team behind her that attend to her bookings alongside her, all are fully trained with many years experience.In the odd case that Kaitlin is not able to attend to your bridal party or event for any reason one of Kaitlin's artists will then attend so you will have no need to worry.
