Benefit HELLO HAPPY Soft Blur Foundation is the newest Benefit Cosmetic 'must have'. I am so pleased benefit has created a NEW foundation with a wider range of shades numbering from 1-12. This foundation is ight-to-medium coverage, with a lightweight formula that provides a natural matte finish to the skin. It has SPF 15 sun protection and NO flashback in photos. I was recently invited to the launch of this in to the NZ market and was absolutely spoilt with the entire collection to try out for myself. A slumber party themed launch with hot choc and the benebabes in dressing gowns. Its been awhile since I was in the Benefit Boutique and I forgot how much I love it there. Everything is so perfect and pink. I probably had a play with every single product that night, It was nice to be child free browsing for once! Now onto the foundation. If you follow me on Instagram you would have already heard me go on and on about the packaging. I think it is by far the cutest design I have ever seen for. a foundation. It is very 'benefit' Ive always been a big fan of there packaging. Its not like any other brand and this foundation is no exception. Benefit Hello Happy Soft Blur Foundation comes in a 30ml bottle. Benefit recommends to shake before use and twist lid to open. It has a needle nose applicator. Benefit says the formula provides light-to-medium coverage that blurs imperfections with soft-focus optical blurring spheres with a natural-matte finish that looks like you aren’t makeup at all. The texture is lightweight and has a gel like feel to it. I was skeptical about its matte finish as I personally try to steer clear of matte foundations with my dry skin which tends to be extra dry in winter. I was very surprised this foundation didn't grab in any of my dry areas, although it is a 'matte' finish it wasn't as matte as other foundations I have tried. The foundation applied easily with a sponge and fingertips, it blended with ease and little effort and seemed to absorb well into the skin. The coverage isn't quite medium but it can defiantly be built up to this if desired. Im not a big makeup wearer and don't prefer a heavy coverage, this is my kind of coverage for day to day, running errands or working on a wedding. It gives me up to 8 hours of wear easily (I haven't tried it up to 12 hours yet) Even with the lightest coverage it evens out my skin tone, brightens and almost blurs all imperfections. It makes my skin look like skin and feel like skin which is what I am all about! It gives me that no makeup, makeup look. Im my career I get asked to achieve this a lot so am excited to see how I w=go using this on my clients. I am wearing shade 4 here. I would be a 5 with a tan on. I love the numbering system it makes it so much easier for makeup artists or someone not overly into makeup choose a shade. No number and letter combos or weird shade names.
Some stats from benefit about the foundation. 99% said it feels weightless 98% said it feels breathable 96% said it blurs imperfections 95% said it gives natural looking coverage Over the short time I have been able to use this foundation I am VERY impressed. I don't think I have ever been let down by a Benefit product. Highly recommend checking this out or popping into your nearest counter and getting someone to try it on you. This foundation retails for $54.00
